According to the National Association of Realtors Profile of International Home Buying Activity report, foreign home buyers purchased an estimated $92.2 billion dollars in U.S. real estate from April 2013 to March 2014. This 35 percent increase from the previous period’s level of $68.2 billion. The dollar level of international sales was roughly 7percent of the total U.S. Existing Homes Sales (EHS) market of $ 1.2 trillion for the same period. Compared to the previous year, sales to foreigners increased both in numbers of transactions and in average price.

The 60-story Residences by Armani/Casa will rise on an oceanfront site at 18975 Collins Ave. in Sunny Isles Beach, in a partnership between Jorge Pérez’s Related Group and Gil Dezer‘s Dezer Development.The luxury condo will feature architecture by César Pelli and interiors by Armani’s interior design studio. Architect Pelli designed the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Miami.

The condominium will be the first U.S. project by Armani/Caa Interior Design Studio, according to the Miami Herald. The tower will include 260 luxury units and is planned for completion in 2016. Units will be priced from $1.2 million to $5.5 million. The Armani units will range mostly from 2,000 square feet to 3,500 square feet, rather than the 5,000 square feet to 8,000 square feet
